American coins and currency make the noble confession, “In God we trust.” However, my fellow Americans, take a good look around. Can we honestly make the same boast today as our forefathers who founded this great nation centuries ago?

Godlessness is rampant! We have fallen from our sincere devotion to the true and only God—the Creator of mankind. Now I see lesser “gods” worshipped daily—Money, Sex and Power. These pretenders seem to be the gods that are driving this nation to a place where it does not need to go.

Many worship the god of MONEY. Those who have it want more. Those who do not have it crave it. Great and small fall on their knees before it. People fight for it. They kill for it. They die for it. The faithful who honor God are told, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'” (Hebrews 13:5).

Many worship the god of SEX. What God had intended to be holy is frequently perverted. Teen pregnancies are epidemic. Many sacrifice their unborn babies to the ravenous god of Sex. Some devotees of the god of Sex have, “exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion” (Romans 1:25-27). The faithful who honor God are told, “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.” (Hebrews 13:4).

Many worship the god of POWER. The gods of Money and Sex must have the backing of the god of Power. He uses the laws of the land to make things happen for his followers. He is invoked to pass laws that work against God and His people. For example, the worshippers of the god of Power shut down the Federal Marriage Amendment in the U. S. Senate and the U. S. House of Representatives. Now they are trying to push a “Hate Crimes Bill” to protect the worshipers of the god of Sex and to persecute the worshipers of the True God of Heaven and Earth.

If Americans worship the true God then WHY are the false gods thriving today?

Patrick Henry truthfully said, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here."
