Satan’s LSD

A girl took a sip of her soft drink at a local soda fountain in Fort Worth, Texas. She spoke candidly with her high school friends around a table as they watched and smiled. Within minutes she held her head, fell to the ground, screamed and shook unrelentingly! Two of her “friends” laughed at first but then clammed up when the screaming girl drew store clerks' attention and a security guard. The friends had slipped an LSD loaded sugar cube into the girl's soft drink while she was unaware. I will never forget the look of terror and insanity on the face of the otherwise beautiful student. She had become the victim of her evil friends and their LSD trap.
Since that time in 1969, I have discovered an even worse form of LSD. It is a brand that does not require a lab or a knowledge of chemistry. It is an ancient formula that is still widely used today by amateurs and experts alike. It is Satan's LSD. That's right. Satan is the original dope dealer—the father of death and destruction. His formula is simple: Lust, Sin and Death.
First, Satan tempts his victims with their own evil desires or LUST. He does not always use sugar cubes to dispense his poison. Instead, he uses a wide variety of methods. The Accuser works through his friends trained in evil to seduce unsuspecting, naive victims with promises of pleasure, power or prominence. The ancient Serpent uses a custom lure for each victim. He knows what attracts each of us. In the end, the Devil has tempted and trapped us all!
Second, Satan secures his victims in SIN. The bonds of iniquity are tight. No mere mortal can break free unaided. Unfortunately, sins rarely occur by themselves. They team up and wind their way around their victims like boa constrictors. Each coil of evil quickly and silently chokes their victims before they have any thought of escape.
Finally, Satan seals his victims in DEATH. In time the ropes of evil squeeze the life out of their victims. They may struggle to be free but it is in vain. Ultimately, the same looks of terror and insanity mutate the faces of otherwise beautiful folks. They are now the victims of Satan's LSD trap.
The Bible warns, “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when LUST hath conceived, it bringeth forth SIN: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth DEATH” (James 1:13-15, KJV).
The only remedy for Satan's LSD is a living, active faith in Jesus Christ. He alone has defeated the evil one. He alone offers the healing grace of God. He alone provides eternal life. He alone can free victims from Satan's LSD.
